GRASS JEWELRY

These beautiful, sustainable pieces of jewelry remind me a lot of crop circle patterns -- often the grass is pressed in spiral patterns. Apparently the glossy grass used in the jewelry is grown in Brazil. by Nugaard.

BEAUTIFUL VASE CRAFT PROJECT

I can't wait to try this out -- I've got tons of beautiful bottles that i use as vases, but this extra touch could tie them all together nicely... via Martha Stewart

SACRED G, BABY

As a crystal lover, it's natural that I also love the platonic solids. Most crystals basic structure reduce to either an octahedron (or cube), or a tetrahedron. Here are some beautiful examples of jewelry by Lotus Lazuil.

EARTH DAY IS NEAR: WILLIAM MCDONOUGH FROM CRADLE TO CRADLE

This is one of a few human beings that I can call a hero. I read Cradle to Cradle a few years ago and it changed how I view everything.

SOUTHWEST ELEGANT

I'm feeling the spirit of the southwest lately , but I'm a New Yorker so it's gotta be played cool, like this glass by Pendleton.

SCARF OR NECKLACE? PART 2

More corded necklaces/scarves! The top 3 are by Isobel and Cleo. I love the innovative knit ruffle locket necklace/scarf! As for the 4th image, I'm loving the southwest right now, so this really appeals to my sensibility. And it looks so darn snug! by Ohsomilla
(And let's not forget the Necklush, which is made from jersey instead of wool)

BEAUTIFUL ART DECO NECKLACES

I love the chevron pattern -- whether it's in native american patterns or in art deco patterns, it looks awesome. Somehow these beaded pieces by Fiona Paxton remind me of both...

SO SWEET AND SIMPLE

Such a sweet presentation for a sweet idea -- recycled glass with lace print. Here's a link to Fox and Clover's etsy shop.

MALACHITE IS IN THE AIR

Malachite is one of the coolest minerals out there. It's recently been emerging from the design world in many incarnations. Metaphysically, it's a stone of great power, representing the heart chakra's green ray. The ancient Egyptians buried their pharaohs with malachite amulets over their hearts for protection. The Russians turned it into a decadent interior decoration. To me, it has a haunting beauty.

IMPOSSIBLE SHAPES MAKE COOL JEWELRY

These pieces are not only mind-boggling, but they're also made from reclaimed vinyl records. By Aroha Silhouettes

THE CLEVER IS IN THE DETAILS

Any time I see a clever yet inexpensive way to make my small brooklyn rental seem more fun, I'm all over it. Not sure what's up with the raunchy egg lady in the photo, but this switch plate is super cute. Yay for Design Glut!

VINYL WALL DECALS

I was skeptical about these at first, but I ordered the "godwits" bird design (2nd from the top) from Elphannie's shop on etsy, and I was shocked at how good it looks. They're not too expensive (the godwits decal was only 8 bucks!). They are removable, but not reusable. I live in a rental apartment, so it's a great alternative to spending all that effort painting the walls. (from the top: single stone studios, godwits and headboard designs by elphannie, and swallow design by redbean studios)

ANOTHER NECKLACE-SCARF HYBRID

Yet another awesome idea, and I love these necklaces that are dramatic yet can be worn any day. Go Norwegian Wood!

ANOTHER SPRING TOP

I'm on the hunt for my new spring wardrobe, and I'm super excited and impressed by Etsy's indie designers, esp Lamixx. I'm also pretty inspired to create some simple stuff on my own. The hunt for green indie fashion continues though...
