BEAUTIFUL ORGANIZING BASKETS

I have open shelves for my clothes, so it's tough to put stuff away and make it look neat.  These baskets are just awesome, designed by Marie-Louise Gustafsson.  I originally got the bike basket and used to stow away hats and scarves.  I noticed that the container store  now carries Marie-Louise's basket for only 24 bucks!  There is a God!

THE QUEST FOR GREEN SHOES

Despite the wonderful, positive sea change happening with green fashion, I've only come across 1 company making well designed, affordable green shoes for mass market close to the Cradle to Cradle standards, and that's Zaha Hadid's Melissa Shoes. Melissas are infinitely recyclable, non-toxic, ethically manufactured, and look AWESOME. Though Keds is making an effort, using 20% recycled rubber in your shoe soles is just making a shoe"less bad", and not taking it far enough. Veja makes cool sneakers as well, but they still use leather, which I can't consider green. The quest continues...
